Alpha
When there is a high alpha it implies that the stock preformed better than expected given its beta. Alpha is calculated with a coefficient measuring risk-adjusted performance while taking into account risk from specific security
Arithmetic mean
Number that is the sum of all values divided by the number of values. (average)
Arms Index
This is a market indicator used in technical analysis. A figure greater then 1 (one) indicated a bull market, and less indicating a bearish one
Autocorrelation
Also called serial correlation: the correlation of a variable with the variable itself, over subsequent time intervals.
